For participation in a photo-based healing session with Eva Mercer

1. Nature of the Work

By signing this agreement, you understand that the session you are participating in is a photo-based healing practice that may involve movement, guided prompts, and emotional expression through photography.

This session is intended to support self-reflection, expression, and emotional release. It is not a clinical, diagnostic, or therapeutic service. It does not replace mental health counseling, psychotherapy, or medical care.

2. Not a Substitute for Therapy

I, Eva Mercer, am not a licensed therapist or mental health professional.
The Seen Self is not therapy. It is a supportive, creative process intended to foster emotional connection and self-awareness through portraiture.

By signing below, you agree that you are participating voluntarily and acknowledge that this session is not a substitute for psychological treatment, diagnosis, or medical care.
You understand that it is your responsibility to seek licensed therapeutic support for any mental health concerns you may have.

3. Personal Responsibility + Safety

You affirm that you are emotionally and physically able to participate in this session.
You understand that you are responsible for your own well-being and safety during and after the session, and that Eva Mercer is not liable for emotional discomfort or outcomes that arise from this work.

4. Confidentiality

Any personal information shared before, during, or after the session will be treated as confidential and will not be shared without your written consent.

5. Image Use & Consent (Separate Signature Required)

Your image and likeness will never be used publicly without your express permission.

By using this website or booking a session, you agree to the following Terms of Service. These terms are here to protect both of us and to clearly outline how this work is offered and received.

1. Nature of Services

The Seen Self and all related offerings are photo-based healing experiences facilitated by Eva Mercer. These sessions may include guided movement, breathwork, and portraiture, and are designed to support emotional expression, self-reflection, and visual storytelling.

These sessions are not therapy, counseling, or clinical treatment.
Eva Mercer is not a licensed mental health professional. These sessions are a creative and somatic practice—not a substitute for therapy or medical care.

By booking a session, you acknowledge and agree to this distinction.

2. Eligibility

Clients must be 18 years of age or older to participate, unless accompanied by a legal guardian and with prior approval.

3. Session Conduct

All sessions are held with mutual respect, consent, and clear boundaries. You agree to arrive on time and participate willingly in the practices offered. You may stop or withdraw at any time.

If there are any access needs, physical limitations, or emotional sensitivities you wish to disclose before the session, please do so in your intake form or by email.

4. Payment & Cancellations

All session fees must be paid in advance unless otherwise agreed upon. A sliding scale may be available upon request.

To cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 48 hours' notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a fee or forfeit of payment.

No-shows are non-refundable.

5. Image Use & Copyright

Images created during sessions remain the intellectual property of Eva Mercer. You will always receive personal-use rights to your images.

Your image will never be shared publicly (on social media, website, or in print) without your explicit, written consent. A separate image release form is provided for this purpose.

6. Website Use

All content on this site—including text, images, and design—is the property of Eva Mercer and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without permission.

Any unauthorized use of content may result in legal action.

7. Liability

You participate in sessions at your own risk and responsibility.
By booking, you acknowledge that you are emotionally and physically capable of participating and agree that Eva Mercer is not liable for any emotional discomfort or physical injury that may arise during or after the session.

8. Privacy

All information shared in intake forms, sessions, and communications will be kept confidential and handled with care.

9. Updates to Terms

These Terms of Service may be updated occasionally to reflect changes in practice or policy. Continued use of this site and services implies agreement with the current terms.
